The Broward College Foundation’s 50th Anniversary was celebrated on Friday, November 5. Over the course of its 50-year history, the Broward College Foundation has served the Broward College community of more than 1 million alumni with program and scholarship support. Philanthropic support over the past 50 years is an investment in students, allowing Broward College to be the foundation for transforming millions of lives in our community – helping students continue their education or start their careers.

$50 for 50 Giving Day

Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Broward College Foundation and the real impact of $50 in transforming peoples' lives on the $50 for 50 Giving Day on November 5th. Ninety faculty and staff, alumni, friends, students and parents contributed $16,267 in philanthropic support towards the Broward College Fund - supporting the areas of greatest need for student success.

Congratulations to City Furniture for being recognized as the 2021 National Philanthropy Day Outstanding Corporation, nominated by Broward College. City Furniture was recognized on November 10 by AFP Fort Lauderdale – Broward County Chapter. Read More. 

Broward College to boost STEM enrollment of Hispanic and low-income students with $5 million grant

The College receives $5 million over five years to increase enrollment, retention, and graduation rates of Hispanic and underrepresented minority students in STEM programs and careers. Read More. 

BCEx accelerator application now open

The BCEx Broward College business accelerator is now accepting applications to join Cohort 5 this Spring!

This is YOUR chance to turn your idea into a startup or small business – whether you are a Broward College student, faculty, staff, member of the Broward College Alumni & Friends community, or if you are interested in building a company!

This 10-12 week cohort starts on February 10th, 2022.

The deadline to apply is January 14th, 2022 and applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis.

10th Annual Fort Lauderdale Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 25    

Come run, jog, or walk with us on Thanksgiving morning to help support Broward College nursing students. The 10th Annual Fort Lauderdale Turkey Trot is presented by MedPro and the Leadership Broward Foundation. The event will take place at Las Olas Oceanside Park on Thursday, November 25 at 7:30 a.m.

A portion of the event proceeds will support the MedPro Future Nurse Scholarship at Broward College. Established by MedPro Healthcare Staffing, this scholarship honors Broward College students pursuing a career in nursing. Nurses are at the heart of our Broward County medical community, and MedPro is privileged to support those who are dedicated to a lifetime of caring for others.

This is a dream we want to make real, but we need you to help us.
