I arrived at Christmas 13 years ago with a suitcase full of fears. I didn't know English and I didn't even know what direction my life would take.
I firmly believed in my dream of becoming an immigration attorney, and I succeeded. There were many nights of wakefulness, crying, and sacrifice, but in the end, my desire to achieve my dream could be more than all adversities. I am here to help you with my Youtube videos and my honest and competent advice and representation. Broward College hosted its first in-person commencement ceremony since the start of the pandemic on Wednesday, December 15, at 4 p.m. at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida.

 Broward College's founding president Joe Rushing passes away at age 100
President Gregory Adam Haile, J.D. joined his colleagues and members of the higher education community in honoring the life and legacy of Broward Colleges' late founding president, Dr. Joe B. Rushing. Dr. Rushing, who passed away on December 8, 2021 at 100 years old, was the first president of the College, serving our institution and the community from 1960 to 1965. Read More
 Broward College graduate class of 1988 Alberto Carvalho, head of Miami-Dade schools, is pick for L.A. superintendent
Born in Portugal, he came to the U.S. at age 17. Carvalho learned English as a young adult and quickly worked his way up from construction and restaurant jobs as he attended Broward Community College. He later won a scholarship to Barry University and enrolled on a premed track. Read More

Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade
On Saturday, December 11, Broward College participated in the 50th anniversary Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade. Alumni and friends of the college volunteered to help decorate the boat for the parade, and members of the Broward College Big Band played a number of holiday songs from the boat along the parade route.” Read More

Broward College staff, faculty, alumni and friends participated in this year’s 5K Turkey Trot presented by MedPro Healthcare Staffing and Leadership Broward.
It was a beautiful, breezy South Florida Thanksgiving morning to trot, run or walk along the A1A. Over 2,700 humans and some four-legged family members came out.
We congratulate MedPro and Leadership Broward for presenting this year’s Trot which brings our community together and benefits so many. A portion of the event proceeds supported the MedPro Future Nurse Scholarship at Broward College. Established by MedPro Healthcare Staffing, this scholarship honors Broward College students pursuing a career in nursing.
