On Tuesday, August 22, the Florida College System Foundation (FCSF) presented a $93,572 check to the Broward College Foundation (BCF) during the FCSF Board of Directors Meeting at BBX Capital. During the meeting, the Broward College Foundation presented a student video testimonial thanking donors for their contribution.

The funders for this investment include Florida Blue, Helios Education Foundation, and Bank of America. The Florida Blue gift requires a 100% match by a private donor, so we thank Roy and Kathryn Krause and the Krause Family Foundation for matching the Florida Blue portion of the gift, as they have done in the past year.

The scholarships will aid in relieving nursing and other healthcare professional shortages and helping first-generation college students complete their education by providing students access to high-quality, affordable academic and career educational programs. Ultimately, a trained workforce will meet Florida industry needs, so we value the commitment of The Florida College System Foundation to ensuring Floridians have an opportunity to pursue a degree that leads to impactful careers.
