REGINA'S FARM SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES STILL AVAILABLE!
Within days of opening registration for the Alumni & Friends Night Out at Regina’s Farm, tickets for our fundraiser at this uniquely Broward experience sold out. The appetite to savor “Brazil in your backyard” as a community was profound, and we are grateful to alumni, supporters, faculty, and staff for your enthusiasm. We cannot wait to celebrate with you on November 4!
Proceeds from ticket purchases and sponsorships will go directly to the General Scholarship Fund. This fund serves those who matter the most – our Broward College students. Scholarship support is vital role in strengthening Broward College’s ability to provide students with financial assistance and access to a transformational education that leads to meaningful career opportunities.

Broward College Culinary Arts graduate Natalie Garcia was invited by America’s Food & Beverage show to give a live cooking demonstration at its recent exhibition in Miami. JOURNEY INTO THE ENTREPRENEURIAL MINDSET
On the evening of September 26, Alumni & Friends and Broward College Entrepreneurship Experience BCEx co-hosted Journey into the Entrepreneurial Mindset. The audience of budding entrepreneurs, alumni, supporters, students, and staff learned about a few gems from each of our panelists, priceless knowledge that can only come from perseverance and experience.
We are grateful to Broward College Foundation Board member Reginald Andre, BCEx alumna Camille Daly, Broward College and BCEx alumnus Royce Lopez, and Broward College and BCEx alumna Sascha Rybinski for their authentic, honest, and inspiring true stories about what they overcame to transform their passions into business ventures. Special kudos to Dean Rudy Jean-Bart and Professor Josh Kimber for their insightful questions and commentary that brought to life the deeply personal journeys our panelists shared.

NHADYA LAWES, CLASS OF 2018
We celebrate alumna Nhadya Lawes, Class of 2018, recently recognized as one of Legacy Magazine's 40 Under 40 Black Leaders of Today and Tomorrow. A former Dual Enrollment student at Broward College, Nhadya graduated with Highest Honors from Broward College before continuing to the University of Miami. She continues to excel and inspire in her role with the Knight Foundation in Miami. Congratulations, Nhadya!

FLORIDA READY TO WORK SOFT SKILLS
Broward College offers alumni free, career-boosting certifications
Learn skills and acquire credentials that make you more employable. Broward College alumni are invited to benefit from this free opportunity to earn official Florida Ready To Work Soft Skills credentials that will showcase to employers your communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Registration is simple. Send an email to employmentsolutions@broward.edu and let them know that as an alumna or alumnus, you would like to have access to the free soft skills credentials program. Provide your first and last name and your preferred email. You will receive your login information.
Florida Ready to Work (FRW) is a career-ready program that provides employability and soft skills training. Those successfully complete the soft skills training program earn a Florida Soft Skills Credential signed by Florida’s sitting governor. The program is sponsored and funded by the State of Florida is administered by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity and is offered to Broward College students and alumni by Broward College Employment Solutions.
