Rudy Jean-Bart talks about the role activism played in his life, discusses black history

From a very young age, Rudy Jean-Bart has been exposed to the meaning of activism and fighting for what you believe. Born and raised in Miami, Jean-Bart is the son of Haitian parents. His father, a leader of the Haitian refugee movement and activist worked with his mom at the Haitian refugee center. It was no surprise that growing up in such a passionate household would play a part in his future. Read More 

Broward College student selected one of the 2022 NCWIT collegiate finalists

Broward College student Sequoah Lloyd was among 80 postsecondary students from across the United States selected as a 2022 NCWIT Collegiate Award Finalist for their technical contributions to innovative projects. Read More

Festival of Music, Film, Literature and Art

Broward College's 2022 Festival of Music, Film, Literature, & Art (F-MFLA) will take place from Tuesday, March 8 through Friday, March 18, 2022. This year marks the seventh-annual program hosted by the English, English for Academic Purposes, and Student Life Skills Department-South Campus.

"Almost Maine" By John Cariani (Live Stream)

Performed by Broward College theatre students, the "Almost Maine" presentation, taking place on Thursday, March 17 consists of nine wistful and charming short plays that take place in the mythical town of Almost Maine. On one mysterious and magical evening, the residents of this remote territory experience the life-altering power of love and find themselves transformed. Read More

Alumnus Releases New Song 

Alumnus Ryan Adam performed at a private concert recently on the release of his latest single “Say Something Nice to Me.” While the single is available for streaming, a recent clip from a concert can be found here.

Ryan is a proud BC grad who shared this testimonial with us about his time at the college.

 "Coming into Broward College as a dual-enrolled student, BC really helped me develop myself professionally as a student, and open my eyes into what I needed to look for, and expect out of a college as I graduated high school. One class in particular from BC that has always stuck with me was American Government. The course and professor really opened my eyes to the political system in this country on a broader scale, and just how impactful and influential politics are in everyday life in America, especially graduating from high school in 2016!"
